Urgent need to minimize unnecessary deaths of gullible followers of religious fundamentalists.

All through last year (2020), we spent substantial time talking about medical malpractices, negligence, exploitations, and informed consent breaches while little or no attention was given to medical complications and deaths resulting from noncompliance and adherence engendered by religious fundamentalists. After the statistical analysis of the inputs from many people that reached out to us last year, we can draw an inference that one-fifth to one-quarter of sudden deaths across Africa were totally preventable only if the con artists in suits were regulated.

I have got first-hand experience having practiced as both the hospital and the community pharmacist in Nigeria where a good number of people find it unease to pay for their medications/medical services but willingly would pay hundred times more for a bottle of blessed olive oil to tackle the same ailment. If you were financially constrained and unable to afford both the anointed oil and the medical bills, the same pastor that would normally prioritize his own medical needs if he was in similar predicament, would tell you, the gullible follower, to opt for bottles of blessed olive oil instead. Then, he would simply sit back and watch your health condition deteriorate drastically, putting the blame of your non-recovery on your lack of faith. When the inevitable (i.e., death) finally happens, the same church who threw the diseased into debts would strip the family of additional funds just to conduct the Christian burial service.
